Locate Architects were commissioned to organise a seminar by ASHS and the Forestry Commission Scotland. The seminar was to publicise the launch of the new ASHS website and highlight the ongoing work of the hardwood plank visual grading scheme along with an element of cpd in best practice in the design and specification of Scottish timber.

In addition to presentations from ASHS and Ivor Davies on the visual grading, Locate organised a welcome presentation from Mark Ruskell, Green MSP, and presentations from Mike and Sue Thornley Architects, Charley Brentnall of Carpenter Oak and Woodland, from Derek Nelson on sourcing Scottish Softwood and with a summing up by Fionn Stevenson, Chair of the Scottish Ecological Design.
