Requiring listed building consent because of its location within the Clerkington Estate, just outside Haddington, this beautiful pantiled stone cottage is to be extended Southward to include a large Sun Room. An existing but derelict greenhouse is set to become a separate Guest Bedroom and office.

In common with many older properties the existing cottage can be dark and the Owners are keen to have a light, warm and spacious area for general living, along with improved Kitchen facilities.

The sun room will have a pantiled roof to match, with fully glazed walls and gable, while a highly insulated timber frame and clad flat roof extension to the side will house a new Kitchen and Dining Room. The existing Kitchen will become the new Entranceway and various internal alterations will make the layout inside more logical and effective.

With Planning and Building Warrant achieved, the project started on site late in 2009.
